Le Midi French shop

The idea for Le Midi came to Sophie and Mark when they were in France one summer. They were much influenced by the fact that they had bought a house in Cuxac Cabardès in the Montagne Noire 20 minutes drive from Carcassonne. 

It seemed obvious to them that the regional products of southern France that they and their children enjoyed so much on holiday were of such high quality that they should be brought to the UK for their customers in Gloucestershire. The Le Midi French shop in The Priory is open with the restaurant and is licensed for off-sales. After a coffee or meal you can buy from a selection of Languedoc Roussillon wines to enjoy at home. Other French products available include hand thrown oven to table ware cassoulet dishes, olive wood cheese boards and French soap.

What's your favourite drink and where would you enjoy it?

"My favourite drink (apart from one of Mark’s selected wines, of course) is a Margherita - actually a Strawberry Margherita! I would choose one of the many bars or Mexican restaurants in San Antonio as the best place to enjoy it. Just the thought brings back good memories of holidays we’ve had in this wonderful Texan town."
